Gerald Smith
Managing Director
Gerald Smith is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring Allied’s investments. He has over 10 years’ experience with operations, financial modeling, and due diligence for large private equity transactions.
- Gerald served as an operating partner for Allied since 2019 and assisted with the CES Power investment.
- Prior to joining Allied full-time in 2023, Gerald supported Enerflex’s Corporate Development team by evaluating M&A opportunities and led business development efforts for Enerflex’s Energy Transition team.
- Former associate with GE Capital where he saw over $4 billion in deal flow and consummated $1.4 billion of transactions.
Education
Gerald earned an MBA from Cornell University and an Electrical Engineering degree from Louisiana State University.
Personal
When not working, Gerald spends his time with wife and three children. He loves the outdoors and can be found running, biking, fishing, and hunting before the family wakes up. Gerald is also involved with mentoring entrepreneurs across the country.
